How Journals And Planners Can Validate Lived Experiences

How Journals And Planners Can Validate Lived Experiences

by Kit Caelsto | May 19, 2023 | burnout, emotions and feelings, mental health

I admit that I’m not big on long journal entries. To me doing daily journaling is just one more thing to check off the to do list. What I prefer is tracking things that are important to me (such as daily word count goals), using my to do app to check off the...
Powerful Ways to Create Personal Traditions with Meaning

Powerful Ways to Create Personal Traditions with Meaning

by Kit Caelsto | Apr 9, 2023 | emotions and feelings, mental health, Spiritual Thoughts

When I was a child, I wasn’t allowed to dye easter eggs. We weren’t a particularly religious family, and I was the only child/grandchild for a very long time so it wasn’t like we had big holiday get togethers. We used the plastic egg wraps that...
How Trauma Affects Us In Cultivating Connection

How Trauma Affects Us In Cultivating Connection

by Kit Caelsto | Mar 10, 2023 | emotions and feelings

In the last blog, I talked about how trauma affects social interactions for autistic individuals by focusing on the work of the amgydala. In this blog, we’re going to talk a little bit more broadly about cultivating connection while still dealing with the impact...

How Trauma Affects Social Interactions For Autistic People

by Kit Caelsto | Mar 5, 2023 | emotions and feelings, mental health, neurodivergence

Interestingly enough it was an article in the Harvard Business Review (Decisions and Desire) that prompted a bit of an “aha moment” around being autistic and social cues/social interactions. In the article, the author says: The amygdala responds...
The Wellness Wheel Connects to the Chakras

The Wellness Wheel Connects to the Chakras

by Kit Caelsto | Feb 26, 2023 | emotions and feelings, Energy Work

Moving from the physical, emotional, and mental wellness into the energy system and some would say into the realm of spirituality, has always been difficult. Our western society likes to divide everything into its neat and tidy boxes. You see an orthopedic doctor for...
Life’s Storms Reveal What We Need

Life’s Storms Reveal What We Need

by Kit Caelsto | Jan 29, 2023 | emotions and feelings, mental health, Spiritual Thoughts

I’ve lived in the Ozarks for a decade and though I’ve heard stories about days-long power outages (or even ones that last *shudders* for more than a week), I’d never experienced one. As our well runs on electricity, I admit that it was one of my...

      About Me

I am a nonbinary (pronouns: they/them), fat, queer, neurodivergent farmer yogi with fibromyalgia who loves supporting chronically ill, neurodivergent, and LBGTQIA+ individuals in a trauma-informed, safe manner so they can find their energetic harmony, feel loved, and learn how to crow & flow! To do this, I use my skills as a yoga teacher, meditation instructor, reiki healer, and harmonic energy worker. We’ll also receive support from my sacred herd of rescue horses and flock of chickens (the inspiration for the Chicken Yogi way). Together, we’ll weave magic, harmony, and fun to lead you on a path so you can discover the bliss which comes from being able to crow your truth and flow with the universe!
